START: Cafe Lago, 9219 Garland Rd, Suite 1102, Dallas. White Rock Lake is located NE of Downtown Dallas. The walk box is located near the front door.

ROUTES: There are 4 routes. Only one event credit allowed, even if completing all routes. The lake is a popular spot for walkers, runners, cyclists, and sailors (2 marinas). The 16 km route circles White Rock Lake with impressive views of Downtown Dallas, the Dallas Arboretum, and the homes and gardens surrounding the lake. The 6 km and 10 km options are on trails along the south side of the lake. An alternate 10 km route includes a trip through the Dallas Arboretum ($8 fee). Note that this last route is not suitable for wheelchairs due to a grass sidewalk. Since this is a large metropolitan area, please walk with a partner and start 3 hours before dark.

DIRECTIONS: From I-30 Exit 48, travel northeast on East Grand Ave, which becomes Garland Rd; Café Lago will be on left just past a Sonic. From IH 635 Exit 12, travel south on Garland Rd 4 miles; Café Lago will be on the right. Park away from the Café entrance, adjacent to Garland Rd.
