The Dallas Trekkers walking Club offers these year-round walks to give the public the opportunity to walk in the Dallas area Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2007, unless otherwise noted. These routes may only be used during daylight hours listed. Check for holiday hours.
ELIGIBILITY AND FEES: All events are open to the public. Children under age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Participation is free. Souvenir pins or patches (B awards) may be purchased at some walks for $1.00 or $2.00. The fee for IVV credit is $3.00. There are no refunds.
PROCEDURE: At the start location, ask for the walk box. This box contains a registration log, instructions, available awards, and directions with route map. All participants must sign the waiver of liability and fill out a start card before beginning the event. The waiver for a minor must be signed by a parent or guardian. Carry your start card and follow the route instructions for the walk and enjoy! (You do not have to walk the entire 10K). After completing your walk, return your start card as instructed in the walk box. If IVV credit or an award is desired, follow the instructions in the walk box for payment. Water and restrooms may be available at the start point or along the route. Please carry water. Leashed pets are allowed on the trails but are not allowed in buildings or the start points.
